Iron ore from what range could be processed into steel of superior quality at about one-tenth the previously prevailing cost?

Answers

Answer: The Mesabi Range

Iron ore from the Mesabi Reach in Minnesota, USA, could be handled into steel of prevalent quality at around one-10th of the expense that had recently won.

This transformative development occurred in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, driven by technological innovations in steel production. The discovery of vast and easily accessible high-grade iron ore deposits in the Mesabi Range, coupled with advancements like the Bessemer process and later the open-hearth furnace, revolutionized steel manufacturing.

This breakthrough significantly lowered production costs and increased the availability of steel, which had far-reaching impacts on industrialization, infrastructure, and global economies.

What ended the French and Indian War, and what was the impact of the hostilities?

Signed on February 10, 1763, the Treaty of Paris formally ended the French and Indian War.

The nations involved in the conflict were France and Great Britain. Spain and Portugal also were part of the conflict because they had some territories in North America.

After the war, the British government promulgated the Proclamation of 1763. This law barred colonial settlements west of the Appalachian Mountains.

The decision of the English crown was adamant because it was considered a necessary action to prevent further conflicts.

We conclude that the new territorial acquisitions benefited the British government but also the following proclamations and acts angered  American colonists, who had fought for the right to settle western lands.

Answers

Answer:

Article 26 (2) discusses the importance of an education that respects human rights and supports harmony among social groups. Subjects such as history and sociology educate students about the importance of fundamental rights by revealing how various social groups such as women and slaves had to fight to acquire them. By teaching topics such as the American Civil War, Nazi Germany, and the world wars, teachers help students understand how social disharmony and inequality disrupts the well-being of society. Last year, I read a book for class called I Am Malala by Christina Lamb and Malala Yousafzai. It gave me a closer perspective on problems created by social conflicts.

Teachers and instructional materials address Article 26 (2) of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by emphasizing the importance of understanding and respecting the rights of all people, regardless of their own identity or the identity of those around them.

In classes, students are taught the importance of inclusivity and difference, the value of listening to each other, and to take responsibility for their own actions and thoughts. In my own experience, these elements are woven throughout subjects such as Language Arts, Social Studies, History, Science, and Mathematics.

Books which address this goal include Let’s Talk About Race by Julius Lester, The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas, and A State of Freedom by Neel Mukherjee which demonstrate the relevance of human rights to present society.

Should we be able to elect Federal judges and Supreme Court Justices? Explain your thoughts.

Answers

Answer:

Pros: Yes, we should be able to choose the judges on the Supreme Court.  A since we can't directly elect them it's possible that there will be a lack of balance between Democrats and Republicans. This has already happened before and depending on whose more dominant it affects the laws that are passed. For example, when they are mainly Republican s a lot of unfair laws are passed and not firther investigated. In some states during this period of time pass a lot of anti-abortion and limit the amount of sex education given at schools. This inherintly leads to international programs to also losing fnding. Alas voting would help us get people to actually represent us.

Cons: No, we shouldn't be able to choose the judges on the Supreme Court. Although many argue that giving us the ability to choose would help us get more representation it would inherintly lead to other problems. One of them being choosing people who are underqualified for the position. Though it may seem to benefit us in the long-term it could lead to destruction. A great example of this happening is people who are being chosen for Congress. Many candidates who deeply believe in conspiracy theories are winning and staying in Congress. This has led to a series of problems, including the harassment of other Congress members.

URGENT!!! I NEED 4 EVENTS THAT HAPPENED IN THE BATTLE OF BUNKER HILL!! MY PAPER IS DUE TODAY!!

Answers

Bunker Hill is a case where the name of a conflict didn't exactly match the geography. It is unknown whether Colonial leader Colonel William Prescott simply didn’t understand Boston geography or disobeyed orders, but instead of setting up his forces on Bunker Hill, he established the Colonials on Breed’s Hill, where the on the night before the battle, Colonists were ordered to build a 110-foot wall made of dirt reinforced with hay and fence rails. The wall proved to be impenetrable by the British until the Americans ran out of ammunition. The conflict retained the name of the original target, Bunker Hill.

Do not fire until you see the whites of their eyes.”

This quote is usually attributed to Colonel Prescott, although it could have been uttered and repeated by several during the conflict. The idea of firing at extreme close range dates back to the 16th Century war tactics of Gustavus Adolphus. The strategy was  particularly important for the Colonial Army because of their lack of ammunition.

Redcoat Casualties

The English won the battle, but at great cost with 226 Redcoats killed and 828 wounded. The Colonists saw 115 killed and 305 wounded. The casualty count was the highest suffered by the British in any single encounter during the entire war. There have been some reported discrepancies in these statistics, but the outcome remains; the Redcoats lost more men.

One hundred fifty African Americans took their place among the Patriots who fought at The Battle of Bunker Hill. Upon his arrival in Boston in November of 1775, one of Washington's first orders was to expel all African American soldiers from the ranks, an action that represented the prejudices and fears that many white colonists held about their black counterparts.

Answer:

George Washington became commander of the American army and began to organize it. George Washington resigned as president of the colonies so he could take over the army.

it was used as training ground for what was to come by the inexperienced American troops against the experienced British Army.

British won but many people died. Colonists lost but more people wanted to be in the Army now. Gave the colonists more courage to stand up to Britain.

American colonists resented being taxed by the British without their consent. Key figures behind the protests against the Sugar Act, which assessed six pence per gallon on imports of molasses and sugar included Samuel Adams and James Otis, with the slogan “Taxation without representation is tyranny” attributed to Otis. It was the tax imposed by the passage of the subsequent Stamp Act of 1765 that peaked tensions, and resulted in the Revolutionary War 11 years later.
